The pandemic era has surely put on a lot of stress on many of us. While some might be on their way to recovery, some may prefer to move according to their own pace and that’s totally fine. Have a relaxing bath. A warm bubble bath has its healing powers -- soothe sore muscles, improve blood flow, boost your immune system and the list goes on. Connect with nature. You don’t necessarily have to go hiking to be able to do this. Just by simply going out of your house, you’ll be able to connect with nature. You may sit on the porch or the balcony and just do nothing but breathe the fresh air and meditate. Binge-watch your favorite show. Admit it or not, binge-watching makes us feel guilty sometimes. Try to think of it as a reward rather than a waste of time. This could be a nice way to relax your tired mind but make sure to watch “feel good” shows so there wouldn’t be added stress.
Start your own journal. Reflecting on your day is one way of spending time with yourself and checking how you’re doing. You may start with listing down all the goals that you achieved or anything good that happened on your day -- no matter how small. If the situation did not go your way, try to look on the brighter side of things, don’t be hard on yourself, and always remember that there’s always a next time. At the end of the day, don’t forget to tap yourself in the back for a job well done. You made it through this day and you’ll make it through the next day and the days after that.
